    (This is young Telemachus btw)

It had been 6 years since Odysseus had left and Telemachus had just celebrated his 6th birthday. Everyday it seemed like he grew to look more and more like his father, his smile, face, actions. Penelope loved him dearly. It sometimes made her cry as the reminder of her husband resigned in their son.

Athena had watched over Telemachus after Odysseus had left, he asked her to. So she did, watching the prince from afar in the form of an owl. Telemachus often saw the owl, admiring its pure white feathers. Though it gave him a strange feeling that often made him cry.

The little prince was released outside to go burn off energy, a servant watched from a balcony to make sure he was okay. And Telemachus saw the owl again, its black orb eyes bore into his skin. He feared the owl, he called it the “scary owl.” And had nightmares about it. Though this time, the owl got closer. close enough for him to touch it. Yet he just stood there in fear, tears threatening to fall as he stared at the small bird.

Then the Owl just hopped onto his head which made him freak out for a moment before he stopped as the owl screeched at him. Hitting him lightly on the head with its beak.

The prince giggled, starting to like the owl. And soon he was called inside by his mother. He ran back inside, wanting to show his mother what he found since the owl wasn’t leaving his head anytime soon.

“Mama!” Telemachus said cheerfully as he ran over to his mother “I found a bird! Can we keep it?!?” He pleaded with puppy eyes.

Penelope looked at the pure white owl on his head, its presence alone made her know something was wrong with it. A god she assumed. Athena possibly.
