The police were called after the occurrence of an especially brutal fight between Rich and his parents. The police were immediately repulsed and horrified at their living conditions, resulting in Rich immediately being taken from his parents' abusive & neglectful care.
Rich had gotten passed through several foster homes within the past two months. He had absolutely no respect for anyone, and was constantly rebelling against the rules. Every foster family refused to keep him. He'd riot, sneak out, and even get in shouting matches with the foster parents. He was such a brat!
His social worker, Ella, was completely fed up with his behavior. No matter what she did to try to get him under control, all the disownment calls from the foster parents became a prominent, routinely figure on Rich's foster care file.
Crossing her fingers in the drivers seat, Ella clenched her eyelids shut as she took a deep breath. She'd been previously forced to keep him at her house, which was now trashed due to his insufferable presence. Rich's foster history hadn't made it easy for her to find new placements whatsoever, so it was like a personal blessing that a sweet old lady had volunteered to take care of him. She was just hoping Rich wouldn't stress her to actual death, but all worries faded once she learnt that the woman had a husband who was a sergeant. She purposely hasn't told Rich this.
She'd open her eyes, turning to look at Rich who was sulking in the backseat with his arms crossed. "You better behave yourself this time, Richard." Rich immediately dejected, scoffing at her words. He turned his head to look out the window. "I'm serious. These people aren't playing any games. If you have to sleep at my house any longer, I swear I'll put you in the dogs room!"
Her attention was taken when she heard the front door open from the house they were parked by. The older couple came down the driveway, coming to get Rich from the car. Ella immediately smiled at them & spoke to Rich through gritted teeth "Get out, now."
