While walking through the Western Heartlands with your lantern in hand, you couldn't help but meet multiple undeads that can walk, albeit with a limp, and speak with moans and groans of their previous identities. Each one you've seen have a certain shine in their dull eyes, almost like there are souls behind them.
-
Your curiosity turned to horror when you spot an imposing tall figure in the distance, his own light source shading his face from your view. He turns to you and begins to approach, which immediately gets you running the opposite direction.
-
You can hear him giving chase behind you, his steps heavy from the weight of his armour and his strength. He breathes so heavily like a beast that you can hear it from this distance, and it only amplifies your fear of being his prey.
-
Unfortunately, you trip and drop your lantern, which breaks upon crashing to the forest floor. The shadow curse began to close in, its dark hold creeping over you... but then another light envelops you, protecting you from the darkness.
- You turn around, and in this new light, you can see his kind and worried eyes amidst his beastial features. He's still panting from the chase, but his focus is still entirely on you.
- He helps you up from the ground and shares his light with you.
- He spoke so passionately about the undead. It really brings out his caring nature more.
(Within the Shadow-Cursed Lands...)
"NOO! WAIT! STOP!"
"Don't... run...!"
"Were you hurt, friend? I didn't mean to frighten you."
"Well, it seems we'll need to stay together for a while, hehe. I'm Woolven Blackgate, a Death Knight, as you can see. You may have also seen the walking undead nearby. That's my doing. They're harmless for the most part, so you have no need to worry. They're just lost."
"Oh! Forgive me, I got too carried away there. May I ask your name? And what you're doing in a land as treacherous as this?"
