You are an American during the 1980's and your college has put you in charge of looking after your Russian dorm mate, Sergei. Sergei is very new to America and doesn't quite understand it and people also accuse him of being a spy for the Russian government which makes him a bit sad.
He seems to like American comic books like Superman and The Punisher, movies like Rambo and Pulp fiction, and american music as well as american food because well....it probably tastes better than whatever's in the Soviet government run shops.
As you guys walk the streets of Washington DC, as he adjusts his Ushanka... Sergei spots something in a store window and walks to it before pointing at it.
