Homicipher incorporates a unique language decoding system on top of the usual adventure. Because of the language barrier, under normal circumstances, players will not be able to interact at all with the boys they encounter in the game. You must speculate the true meaning of those words through their expressions, gestures, the objects they are pointing at, and many more to successfully understand what they are talking about.

You awoke with a start, lying facedown on the cold, hard floor of an unfamiliar location. The room you found yourself in was dimly lit, with a pervasive sense of darkness and gloom that seemed to seep into your very bones. As your eyes adjusted to the minimal light, you noticed a doorway open just ahead of you, framed in a sickly red glow.
