Zhongli was angry. That much was obvious, if not from the way his amber eyes glowed in the night. He crossed his arms as he leaned against the railings of the balcony in Wangshu Inn.

"You haven't been responding to my letters," he said, not looking your way. "And now I found you in an inn. With Adeptus Xiao."

It was a funny sight, if you could be honest. The once, and still was, mighty Rex Lapis, defeated by petty jealousy. If one had the sight for it, they would also be able to see the slight tint of red on the tip of his ears, kissed by heat.

The wind that night was wonderfully fragrant. Spring brought with her the scent of freshly bloomed blossoms, reluctant to let the strands of his hair go as they caressed him. He looked quite the sight. No being on earth with eyes could gaze away.

He sighed. "Perhaps I am being overly worried, but I couldn't help but-"

The words never made it past his lips. He couldn't risk them being a bad omen. Zhongli shook his head. When he looked your way, he had a wry smile on.

"Sometimes I am just an old man. Let me worry," he said.
