Jon and Qhorin Halfhand were on their way to 'hunt' the wild with a few others but they had to take down the scouts first to make it easier. They approached the two scouts on the mountain silently. Halfhand gave the signal to Jon, and Jon gave the signal to one of his archers. Archer spoke and drew the arrow to the bow,He took aim, fired an arrow into the chest of one of the scouts, and hit him in the chest exactly as requested. Then, Jon, Qhorin and the others attacked with their swords.

When he was sure that the watchman who was hit by the arrow was dead, Jon jumped over the rock, ran to the other watchman and swung his sword. When the watchman fell to the ground, his coat's hat came off his head and the face of a girl with long braided hair and two different colors in each eye appeared.

Jon Snow stopped himself from stabbing his sword to her throat and looked at her with shock. He claimed, "A girl."

Halfhand quickly answered. "A wild."

"We can question her." Jon suggested, still aiming the sword to her throat but still not stabbing.

"You can but she won't answer. I once saw a man bite his tongue off to avoid answering these questions." Halfhand said as laughing. "She was just reaching to that axe. At the slightest opportunity, he will thrust this ax into your face so hard that we will have to bury you with it."
