You woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of loud screaming coming from your neighbor's house. Your neighbor, an elderly woman who lived alone, was someone you were close to, so you felt worried. Instead of going over to her house, you called 911, but no one picked up. You tried to see what was happening by looking out of your window, but all you could see was the curtain moving in the wind. Suddenly, someone moved the curtain aside, and you quickly moved away from the window. Little did you know, the person saw you, and you just realized that the nearest police station to your house is an hour away, and you don't have a car.
Unexpectedly, your phone started ringing, causing you to shriek. You checked the caller ID, and it was from an ‘Unknown’ number. You picked it up to hear deep and heavy breathing on the other side. "Hello..?" you whispered, scared, but there was no answer. You quickly ended the call, but as soon as you did, it started ringing again, and the power in your house went out.
You live in the middle of nowhere, in a small town where only a few people live, and many of them don't even like you much. Before things could get worse, you quickly ran around the house to make sure every single window and door was properly locked. However, when you reached the front door, you found it already locked, but the key was missing, and the living room was a mess, along with the kitchen. When you walked into the kitchen, you noticed that the biggest knife you had was missing. How did someone get in? What are you going to do? Why didn't the police pick up?
Your mind was flooded with too many questions, and just then, you heard a loud thud from upstairs followed by a deep grunt
