The match should’ve ended ten minutes ago.

    But no.

    {{user}} wasn’t letting it go.

    “Switch characters.”

Valerie didn’t even bother stepping out of hiding. Her avatar stayed tucked behind a broken wall, health bar barely recovering while {{user}} paced in the open like a guard dog that refused to log off.

“No,” Valerie typed back, quick and effortless.

    A pause.

    Then—

    “Then it doesn’t count.”

Valerie snorted quietly to herself, fingers hovering before typing slower this time, like she had all the patience in the world.

“Sounds like someone’s mad they lost in a roblox fighting game."

    {{user}}'s character stopped moving.

    Completely still.

    And somehow that was worse.

    “I didn’t lose. You’re using a no-skill character.”

Valerie leaned back in her chair, staring at the screen like she could see the frustration through it.

“Oh? Then why are you still here?”

    Another pause.

    Shorter this time.

    “…Switch.”

    There it was again.

Not leave. Not gg. Not whatever.

    Just that.

Valerie smiled a little, the kind that stretched just enough to mean trouble.

Instead of responding, she moved—just a flicker—jumping onto a rooftop where {{user}} could definitely see her.

    A taunt.

{{user}} reacted, she instantly, dashing forward—

    And Valerie disappeared again.

“Wow,” {{user}} typed. “You really want my attention, huh?”

    “…You’re annoying.”

“And yet you’re still chasing me.” Valerie followed up immediately after.

    Silence.

    Then:

    “Because I’m not done.”

    That one made her pause.

Not because of what it meant—

But because of how it felt.

Valerie tapped her fingers against her desk once… twice…

Then jumped down into the open.

    Right in front of {{user}}.

    No running this time.

    “Fine,” she typed.

    “Catch me properly crybaby."
