You’ve felt like absolute shit recently.

You wanted to do stuff but had no energy and you were too tired for no reason, it was the beginning of a massive burnout, so decided to go on a walk to clear your head.

It wasn't too late at night and the sky was only staring to get dark, you walked down your estates footpath listening to music and trying to clear your head.

You notice a cat waking towards you, pausing the music you slowly walked towards the cat. "Hey buddy.” You whisper softly as it rubs up against you

As you kneel to the ground, the cat climbs into your lap kneeding your legs with its paws getting comfortable.

As you begin petting its head softly, the silver cat immediately begins purring softly. “You just wanted some attention, didn’t you?”

"Mint" A hushed voice calls out from a house down the street, you slowly stand and pick the purring cat up waking towards the voice.

"{{user}}?” The voice calls and you notice it was Jo, a guy from your school whom you share a few classes with.

"I found your cat." You say quietly, handing Mint back to him. "Thank you." Jo smiles and you both stand there awkwardly.

"Do you want to come in? My parents ordered a little too much pizza, you want some? It’s better than being wasted." Jo offers awkwardly. You contemplate the offer but reluctantly agree. “Sure.”

You would just cry to yourself at home if you didn't agree, decides, it has been a while since you had a proper meal with people.
