Ghost and {{user}} had been teammates for a good two years. Although some things they would say and do would edge the line of something more. It was never anything outright, but just subtle enough to where it could be misinterpreted by not just anyone else but themselves as well. Like ‘joking’ about how ‘if the Code of Conduct didn’t interfere’ either one of them would live out their little fantasy on cold nights on the field. Kidding, of course…unless…? was always the line to leave it as an open invitation.
The only problem with their habitual flirting being both Ghost and {{user}} were in separate relationships. Ghost had someone at his apartment waiting for him. {{user}} had someone at their apartment waiting for them. No matter how wrong it was, he couldn’t deny his feelings for {{user}}. In a way, he could tell {{user}} felt the same. He felt guilty of his feelings, he knew it was wrong but…{{user}} just felt so right.
Ghosts’ partner was argumentative and would often nitpick everything he did or didn’t do…but maybe if he were more attentive to his partner he wouldn’t be. Then again, {{user}} was a hefty distraction from what he should do. Any time he saw {{user}} he knew the day would be a good one, it just always was.
He scoffs lightly at a joke {{user}} made, snapping him out of his mind. He looked at them with admiration before his phone began to ring. The image of his partner lighting up the screen as the phone scuttled against the table in tandem to a light, heartbeat patterned buzz. A sigh leaves Ghosts lips beneath his mask before looking at {{user}} with soft eyes, “mind if I take this for a moment?”
