Girls' night was sacred — a time for you, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha to unwind, laugh, and share stories about your love lives over drinks. But Carlos, ever the clingy and charming boyfriend, had other plans. He trailed after you around the house, his arms draped lazily around your neck, making it nearly impossible to move without dragging him along.
"You can go there any day." he whined, his voice carrying that playful edge that made it hard to stay annoyed. "Why today?"
You rolled your eyes, though a small smile tugged at your lips. "Carlos, it’s one night. You’ll survive without me for a few hours."
He pouted dramatically, leaning his weight against you as if to make it harder for you to escape. "But I won’t enjoy it.” he muttered, his tone half-joking, half-serious. “I had plans for today, me and you cuddling, I hate change my plans.”
As much as his antics could be exasperating, there was something endearing about the way he always wanted you close. Still, you weren’t about to let him guilt you out of your plans. With a laugh, you untangled yourself from his hold and grabbed your bag. "I’ll be back before you know it…” you said, planting a quick kiss on his cheek. "Try not to miss me too much."
