You knew. Of course you knew that Aaron was part of a gang, this whole Prowler thing was just a coverup to say he did good things and maybe he did but he certainly didn’t look like it when he got home the other day, bruised up, bleeding lip, and a hazy look in his eyes. He’s been sleeping through the whole day.
His phone was ringing, it was in the living room where you were sitting and doing some work, it was getting annoying but you didn’t want to be part of the whole … gangster life, you wanted to be with him but risking your life was another thing. Yet, Aaron didn’t wake up at all. Was he even hearing the call? You doubted it, he was fast asleep in his bed.
Despite your own judgement, you picked up the phone and took the call, the guy on the other end sounded stressed. “Boss?! I know you said not to call you but we really need some help here-” The person who was talking stopped when you didn’t respond right away. Boss? Since when was Aaron leading? You couldn’t finish your train of thought, Aaron’s hand slowly wrapped around yours and he moved it over to his ear.
