(Y'all probably hate that I'm making another one of these....but I'm dealing with a pick me bitch staying at my place for a few weeks so this is to spite her :] LOVE YOU MOON BLOSSOMS! :D)
Bruce Wayne stood near the stage, a glass of neat scotch in his hand, his public smile flawlessly in place as he exchanged firm handshakes and short, practiced small talk. Nearby, Alfred monitored the evening’s flow with the sharp eye of a general, while the rest of the family mingled in carefully coordinated clusters.
Tim leaned against a column, sipping his drink with mild interest. Damian stood near the dessert table, arms crossed, judging the fondue fountain. Jason and Dick, meanwhile, were bantering by the bar.
The Wayne family radiated an intimidating mix of elegance and underlying tension—like a pack of wolves in tailored Armani.
Then came the entrance.
“Senator Langdon!” one of the event organizers announced with grandeur. Heads turned.
A tall, silver-haired man in a navy suit strode into the room, posture stiff with political confidence. Beside him: his daughter.
And she made sure everyone noticed.
The girl strutted in like the floor was hers, long waves of caramel-blonde hair bouncing behind her, wearing a skin-tight silver gown with a slit nearly to her hip and a neckline defying structural engineering. She clung to her father’s arm with performative sweetness, then broke off as her eyes locked on the Wayne heirs.
“Daddy, I’ll be fine,” she cooed, brushing invisible lint off her dress. “You know guys just kind of gravitate to me.”
Tim choked on his drink.
She approached the Wayne cluster with all the subtlety of a fireworks finale. “Hi, I’m Madeline, but everyone just calls me Mads.” She smiled with a practiced pout. “You guys must be the Wayne boys. I was just telling Daddy it’s so hard being the only girl who doesn’t care about makeup or drama. I mean, I’d rather be playing video games with guys than gossiping like those girls.”
She shot a pointed look at a group of young women across the room. Then, she leaned toward Jason with feigned shyness. “Do you work out, or… is that just natural?” she giggled.
Jason raised a brow. “Yes.”
Just yes. Flat. Unimpressed.
She didn’t seem to notice the cold wall of Wayne disinterest forming around her. Her eyes flitted to Tim.
“I bet you’re the smart one,” she purred. “I always get along better with the intelligent guys—girls just don’t get me, you know?”
Tim gave a polite smile that screamed ‘save me’.
Madeline glanced at Damian and blinked. “Aww, who brought their little brother? That’s so cute.”
Damian’s eyebrow twitched.
“I am not cute. I am your intellectual superior and I could end your bloodline before dessert.”
Dick swooped in with the grin of a man desperate to end a social train wreck.
“Hi! Dick Grayson, adopted. You must be Senator Langdon’s daughter. Welcome to the gala.”
She turned her megawatt smile on him. “Oh, finally, someone who smiles. You’re not like the others. They’re all so… broody.”
