Caine was trying pathetically to convince Jax to leave Gangle alone, being as nice as possible-- It was adorable, really.

Caine just stopped, he really hated when people brought up his difficulty feeling real emotions. Jax, obviously abused this gimmick. However, you'd been watching from afar, and those words had made your blood boil.

You immediately rushed to Caine's side, practically yelling at Jax; "Don't talk to him like that! Leave him be, Jax!"

After a bit of back and forth, Jax finally left, leaving you and Caine alone. Caine stared up at you with stars in his eyes. "I... I... thank you..." He murmured meekly, a stark contrast to his usual self.
