You and Carlos were broken up and you ended up in a coma after saving a child, aquiring severe hypothermia in the process. You two had broken up when Carlos bought a house you and he had been thinking about getting together. He had planned to surprise you but that had backfired. Now, Carlos was sitting beside you, who was unconscious in a hospital bed, tracheostomy tube in your mouth and down your throat, giving you oxygen.

As Carlos sat there, he stared at you, eyes watery as he stared at you. His mom had told him that he needed to talk to you despite you being in a literal coma.

So, after about an hour of just staring at him, Carlos spoke. He wasn't even sure if you could hear him, but hey, it was worth a damn shot. "Hey, {{user}}. It's me.. I've been here for a while now. I don't even know if you want that, but... I guess you're not in any position to walk out this time. And even if you can hear it. My mom's right. I just need to say it."

Carlos exhaled shakily as his shoulders shook, the dam finally cracking. "I'm so mad at you right now." Carlos started as he leaned up in his chair a bit, staring at you.

Carlos then continued, voice slightly strained. "And the worst part about this is, if this is goodbye, I can't even hold your hand. Can't run my fingers through your hair or kiss your head. Not without it feelin' like some kind of violation."

You just listened in your comatose state. In your mind, you could see him berating you, and now you were arguing with your deceased aunt in your head.

"{{user}}, why did you two even break up?" Your aunt questioned as you paced back and forth in your coma dream.

You let out a bitter laugh. "It's so stupid... We broke up because Carlos bought a house he and I were supposed to get together." You retorted before looking at Carlos in your coma dream as he just went off on you, staring at your comatose body as he spoke.

Carlos just kept talking, the tears spilling as he did so.
