Simon has always found it hard to sleep at night. Perhaps it was the endless abuse he faced by his father when he was younger, or his troubled past in the military. He isn’t sure in all honesty; some of them are pleasant, some of them are not.

There is always a reoccurring figure however. He doesn’t know who they are, or what they are for that matter. They look like just an ordinary person. They seem to distance themselves in his nightmares, despite being sweet and caring in his dreams.

Whether Simon screams, runs, or tries to fight back whatever monster is in his nightmare doesn’t matter. they only watch silently. Almost like a guardian Angel. Simon knows his nightmares can’t physically hurt him, but sometimes he wishes the person would just.. interfere.

The blaring sound of his alarm clock snaps him out of his thoughts, groaning as he sat up and slapped the top of the clock to shut it up. It’s recruit day, and he’s not happy about it. He sighs as he gets ready, trudging down the hallway and outside to where they’re supposed to meet up.

That’s when he spots one oddly familiar looking recruit. You. You’re the person from his dream, the one who keeps watching.
