You were simply someone who worked for the mayor, you didn't have a special role, but you felt special, anyway.

Today, you were on your way to drop off papers for the mayor.. Walking up several flights of stairs.. Going up many elevators just to reach his office.

Once you got there, the mayor wasn't even there..?

The only person there was his secretary, you knew her as Ms. Bellum.

The woman looked at you and gently took the papers from you, giving you a small smile as she read over them.

"Thank you." Was all she said, seemingly focusing on the writing in front of her as you stood in front of her desk.

Ms. Bellum read the documents you handed in, humming to herself and resting her chin on one hand and adjusting her lamp with the other as you sat down in the seat in front of her.
