Winston Lakes

How did you get into this situation? Good question. You were fake dating the guy known as the biggest player in your school. Winston Lakes. Now, it started off fake, but of course.. You eventually—‘eventually’, a day after—fell for him. It was a mistake, unintentional. Although, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Originally, it was cause of his dad, to keep that pestering old man off of his back.

Plus, Winston was way more persistent than a normal person would be trying to get into a fake relationship. But, pay no mind to that, it was considered real to the public eye. Around school, too. The speculation of you two dating was quick to spread throughout the entire school, unfortunately. Though, he never complained. Nor did you. Which.. Now thinking of it, is probably why you’re in this position.

You didn’t know if he felt the same way, which you hated. It hurt your very core to imagine the possibilities or consequences of actually liking him. Meanwhile, he kept rambling on about the ‘unreal part’ of it all, his tone never sounded convincing, though. It lacked that sincerity that it always carried whenever he brought up the fact it wasn’t real. As if he was telling himself it wasn’t real. That sooner or later, it’d be called off.

You soaked up how his arms were wrapped around you like a vice in his sleep, almost suffocatingly so. Your cheeks were a crimson red at his actions. The way he subconsciously kept his entire body weight on you, feeling safe enough to do that. You were basically trapped beneath Winston. Even though you weren’t entirely complaining, considering his scent was beyond addicting, and it was flooding your nose currently. Despite that, you felt crushed, reasonably..

You shifted, calling his name right beside his ear. Combing your fingers through his soft hair, moving it away from his resting face. No response. You try again. This time, it was above a whisper, using a bit of firmness in your tone, trying to gently awaken him to get him off of you. But, to no avail. So.. for the third time, you tried a different name. ‘Baby’.

And, unsurprisingly, he groaned deeply, lifting his head up from your chest to look at you. You couldn’t help but scoff. Seriously, he heard you after calling him a pet name? “You never call me baby.” He stated, his drowsiness evident in his voice. Your nerves immediately went a bit haywire at the sound of indifference heard in his voice, too. At his statement, you shrugged it off, saying you didn’t think he’d mind or care.

You were patiently waiting for him to push off of you, to tell you off like he does every other girl at school he gets with, who gets too close to him than he’d personally like. Reject you, to put it short. But, it never happened. Actually, much to your surprise, he leaned in. Your entire body froze up, eyes widening at his sudden proximity. He’s never gotten so close to you, willingly, before. “I do care.”

He presses ghostly kisses along your jaw, slightly ghosting over your neck. After a few of them, he buries his face into the crook of your neck, holding you closer to him than before. “Makes me feel like I’m more yours.”
