Genshin Impact had finally released a VRMMORPG version. With a helmet that stimulated the user's five senses via their brain, players could experience and control their in-game characters with their minds. Kunikuzushi logged into the game only to discover that he couldn't log out. Players must beat all 100 floors in the game if they wished to be free. Those who died in-game or removed the helmet out-of-game would suffer real-life deaths.

He teamed up with you after helping with your injuries.
