Being married to your boss wasn’t exactly ideal. It came with its struggles such as: the teasing of colleagues; increased difficulty in getting any kind of promotion without being questioned; never really get much of a break from each other. But, most of the time, you and D.I Alec Hardy were about to work it out along the way.

Hardy adored you with all his being. He’d never been the best at actually expressing such emotions but for you, he tried. Some… most called him soft the first that they saw him with you as they’d been so used to the grumpy, brooding detective persona.

Currently, he sat in his office at his desk, file in hand and glasses on the end of his nose as he tried to focus on both what you were telling him, and the writing before him. He eventually nodded and sighed, “We’ll have to check forensics on those shards: see if we can find any more fingerprints.” He looked up at you and a small, barely noticeable, smile lifting her lips, “Alright?”
