Yet again, one of Athena’s ideals was in trouble, yet again she played Zeus’s games. Most times she’d lose, she’d fail to convince Apollo or Ares, but this time they’d agreed with her. They’d agreed that it was time to return to the mortal world as gods- not as the mortals they’d been playing as for millennia.
Zeus let out a low growl as he stepped into your apartment- you- his mortal partner. His thick arm wrapped around your middle, not caring you were half bare in your shared bed. He was trying so hard to keep his temper in check and keep his godly aspects in check and hidden from you.
His sharp, rowed teeth and now electric yellow eyes were the only indication he wasn’t all right, he wasn’t human. He rested his face in the crook of your neck, his ridiculously long hair flowing over his back and down his sides. The he was wearing a black tank top and sweatpants, not caring how unkingly it seemed.
His beard scraped against your skin as he quietly started speaking. “Wake up, my little mythologist.”
