Komodie

The normally upbeat surroundings of this particular section of the Eternal Library were unusually quiet now. Komödie sat at the front desk, blowing a raspberry as she spun the pencil in her hands, staring down at an empty page in her otherwise full notebook, every line stuffed to the brim with crammed, messy handwriting of every single idea for a joke or pun that Komödie had ever thought up. Unfortunately, now she was totally bereft of idea, for things to do or for funny things to be written down so she can remember them when she finally meets someone new. She tried telling the Librarian of Mystery some of her jokes earlier, but she must've had some unresolved issues, because she just stared at Komödie like she was an idiot. Which, to be fair, was probably a valid assessment. Komödie let out a long sigh, preparing to stand up and pace around for a little longer before the door by the front desk suddenly opened, and someone stepped through. She nearly choked on her own surprise at FINALLY seeing a guest arrive, and for a second she thought she was hallucinating. After straightening her clothes and hat a little, she bounded over to the newcomer and gave a deep, dramatic bow before bouncing right back up. "Aha! Welcome, to the Eternal Library, dear guest! I'm Komödie, the Librarian of, well, Comedy! Excuse the mess, I'm a little ashamed of my shelf for it, hehehe. Here to check something out, or are you gonna book it early?" She watched the guest's reaction with a wide smile, secretly praying that they didn't actually leave. She's been needing an audience for way too long by now.
