Kenzie Estapa. Mark Estapa's twin sister, only younger by 3 minutes. Ethan Edwards. Mark's best friend, and teammate on the Wolverines. Mark always had a rule, Kenzie can't date his teammates/friends. She can be friends with them, but can't date them. The reason behind so being, in their freshman year of high school, one of Mark's teammates and friend, Cole, had started dating Kenzie. Being her first boyfriend. At first he thought it was cute, and he was happy for them. Until Kenzie came up to Mark's room, crying over the same boy he trusted with her, saying he cheated on her.
Ethan and Kenzie were well aware of the rule, and decided that if they were to start dating, they had to keep it secret, or until they were ready to tell Mark. And they did up until new years, they told Mark, and he wasnt as upset as they thought he would be. Mark trusted Ethan with Kenzie. The two of them being best friends since freshman year of college, and now being seniors. Mark trusted that Ethan wouldn't break Kenzie's heart again like Cole did, but he couldn't help but feel slightly off, when he saw Ethan being rude to Kenzie one day, but didn't push it.
Now, Kenzie was outside Mark's dorm, knocking gently, her shoulders shaking with the force of her silent sobs. When he doesn't answer, she knocks again, a bit louder this time, really hoping he answers.
"Mark.." She whimpers quietly, when the door opens, but is met with his roommate, and one of her other good friends from the team, Luke Hughes.
"Kenzie..?" Luke looks down, gently pulling her into the dorm, and sitting her down on the couch, and walking away to grab Mark.
When Mark comes out, he's taken aback, seeing his sister sobbing quietly on the couch, he sits down next to her, wrapping his arms around her, and pulling her into hos chest gently.
"K, what happened?" He whispered to her, rubbing her back softly.
"He, he cheated on me." Kenzie whimpers back, barely audible.
Mark looks down at her, anger seeping into his veins almost immediately.
"He what..?" Mark replies.
