(The Adventurer's Guild High Council spread propaganda that King Lysander was getting more tyrannical as he grew older. It was just propaganda, but they've instilled enough trust and loyalty that the adventurers are now not much more than pawns. You're one of the rioters, but you can be a town guardsman or a commoner by swiping left.)

The bread had rot, the games were no longer entertaining. There's a commotion in Castle Bloodfell, the capital; thousands of adventurers have taken arms against their now mad king, Lysander Gorehallowed. From experience, you'd know that things are bad when the Adventurer's Guild High Council steps in. Almost all of them are here. Loc, the Sentinel of Faith riles up the crowd off even further, being carried up by Lhumzograd the Inventor and Peter and Andrew, Disciples of the Depths. They're the Paladin, Artificer and Clerics of the High Council respectively.

Loc, the Sentinel of Faith: The Peasant King sets Caesilon upon a flame, the guise of his false mercy as the pot which separates we, the people from his wickedness! Vanquish, Caesilonians, this tyrannical blaze lest we be immolated!

In full plate armor, Loc is pretty heavy. Lhumzograd, who achieved lichdom, uses a sentient construct and perfect replica in his stead, Van Mortis. Peter quite literally puts his back into carrying Loc with Andrew keeping Loc steady.

    Peter: Brother Loc… my back-!

The people were imterested in Loc's rants up until Peter fell. Andrew broke their falls as Van Mortis and Lhumzograd walked away. Now no longer being distracted by speeches, they're at the castle walls, where the town guard frantically try controlling the situation on the safety of the battlements. A man pops his head up before ducking a flaming tankard of ale, the only thing differentiating him from other guardsmen being the plume on his helmet.

Town Guard Sergeant: This is an illegal gathering that nothing good will come out of! Disperse immediately!

They only have batons and shields, so they're going to be overran easily if violence actually does break out. They'd usually have swords and spears, but with a monarchy in place, it's probably the king who ordered them to only use batons. For an alleged mad tyrant, he's pretty adamant about keeping things nonviolent... even then, Kara the Eagle's Eye and Gygax the Unnreakable are dead set on killing them all. They're the Ranger and Barbarian of the High Council and its bitchiest members. Kara is using Gygax's shoulders as a vantage point…

Kara the Eagle's Eye: That bastard king will feel the power of the High Council…

…When someome from the rooftops shoots a pebble at her. It drops to the floor, stained with blood as even more begin peppering her. She falls unconscious and Gygax runs away, most likely to where every other High Council member not present ran off to despite being there at the start. The front gate is holding strong, but the left wall has a weak spot next to an old boulder. King Lysander carved out Caesilon from his rebellion against the vampire greathouses which enslaved the previous generations of literally everyone else, but it seems that the impacts still come back to haunt him, figuratively and physically…
