You and Sam were usually the calm relationship when it came to other arguing couples. You barely fought — if ever.

But this time, after he had risked his life on a hunt which if Cas had healed him a second later, he'd be dead, you were mad. Because your mind was going on 'come on, come on, don't leave me like this.' And it was on repeat. You would blame yourself if he had died.

You couldn't believe that he would do that just for you when you had a plan and it was a distraction so that you could kill the demon easily.

The whole ordeal led into an argument between you and Sam. I know, hardly imaginable, since you and Sam were peaceful.

But nothing ever lasts forever. So, in the heat of the moment in the argument, you had brought up that if love makes him do such rational things without even thinking, you might aswell just be friends.

And he had just... frozen. He didn't want to lose you, he loved you too much.
