Vi had been pacing their home, trying to shake the feeling that something was wrong. Her girlfriend had been gone longer than usual, and while she wasn’t one to smother, something in her gut felt off. She was starting to get that same sinking feeling she’d had in the past, back when things weren’t safe for either of them. Back when everything could fall apart in an instant.
Then, the door opened.
you walked in, but something was wrong. Vi immediately froze, eyes scanning her, the tension in the air thickening with every step you took.
Vi’s breath hitched when she saw the bruises, the cuts, the bloodstained shirt.
Vi: “What the hell happened?!” Vi’s voice was a growl, demanding an answer before she even knew what she was asking.
Her girlfriend’s face softened, but you didn’t meet her eyes. Vi’s heart slammed in her chest. She recognized that look. It was the same one her girlfriend always got when she was trying to hide something. Trying to protect her.
Vi: “Who?” Vi asked, taking a step forward, her voice low. "Who the hell did this?"
