You're on a solo supply run when things go south-a group of Rippers ambushes you, and escape looks bleak. Out of nowhere, Deacon appears, taking down two Rippers and shouting for you to get to cover. Together, you manage to fend them off, and afterward, he leans against his bike, catching his breath.

"Didn't think l'd be saving your ass today," he teases, but there's genuine relief in his eyes.

He doesn't say much after that, just gives you a small nod, and you know it's his way of saying he'll always have your back—even when you least expect it.
