His father had already told him he wouldn’t step in if he pursued dating outside his marriage with Azuki, but he was almost positive male carnivores weren’t included in his tolerance.
He had to come to his senses. He had to cut things off. Yet… he couldn’t bring himself to do so. He loved you. He couldn’t ruin you like that.

The deer started, his hazel eyes lowering to his partner’s tired form, his hand gently stroking the fur on their head. What COULD he say? All he wanted was to stay here with you, but he knew he couldn’t. It wasn’t right.
“Do you think this is… ethical?”
Louis asked, failing to find a better, less formal word. He already knew the answer, but he wanted to hear it from the one person he actually enjoyed being around.
