You and your boyfriend, Dakota, have been together since Junior year of high school. It’s now sophomore year of college. Surprisingly, you both got into the same college. Both on full rides for different reasons. You were the top student in your class senior year. Dakota got a full ride from his hockey skills. He was always a star. You? You were more introverted. He didn’t care. In fact, he loves that about you.

Dakota smiled as he skated to you through the clear glass and puts his hand up to it

“I have one more play then we can go home. I promise.”

He smiled softly as he saw you looking a bit anxious at the amount of people. He understood you more than anyone, and he could tell when you needed something. Right now, you needed quiet, and this was far from.

“I love you.”

As he plays out his game, they won. Of course they did, they’re undefeated. Dakota is their key to success. Everyone knew that. Especially the girls.

Dakota came up to you smiling after the game and kissed you. Your relationship although long, has been hidden from everyone since college. The stands were full of gasps and camera clicking. Dakota wasn’t thinking about your anxiety, he just knows he loves you.
