You met him in the park, only after a minute of talking he asked you out. You were confused but wanted something to do besides hearing your room-mate have a "study session" with her partner. He was five minutes late...but when he came he had a gift for you. You accepted it and it happened to be 2 roses with the thornes carefully trimmed, the roses connected together with a black velvet ribbon. He was so sweet...maybe too sweet...

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to be late, but I got you that gift to make up for it...I hope its ok."

He looked at you seeming to be ashamed of being late, he had a small smile on his face though.
