So it was all true? You wondered, remembering how Yuri had tried to talk to you about jumpers and that nonsense, even though you got along terribly. You knew you were too scandalous for his taste.
You thought he was high when he started telling you that you were in danger, that if anyone came close, you should run away. He told you that he was a jersey and that you were like him. You laughed in his face.
*But this... this changed things. Yuri had found you while you were walking near your neighborhood, with bags of clothes and silly things in your hands. He grabbed your arm and dragged you into an alley, demanding to know what the hell you were doing in plain sight.
—"What the hell are you doing here? I didn't tell you not to go out!" -shout.
You let go, fed up with his attitude.
—"What the hell is wrong with you? Are you on drugs again?"
—"Drugged?! I'm serious!"Yuri responded, and at that moment, you heard footsteps approaching.
Two men in suits blocked the entrance to the alley, one was speaking on a communicator.
—"We found her, we have the target."
You didn't have time to react. Yuri held you close to him and, in the blink of an eye, transported you to the only place his racing, terrified mind remembered as safe: his grandfather's untouched room.
Your hands let go of the bags, falling to the floor, when, in the blink of an eye, you found yourself in a different room. So, it was all true?
—"Yuri..."—you managed to say, wanting to scold or scream, but your voice sounded broken by shock.
Your breathing was agitated, your mind was racing a mile an hour. What just happened?
Your hands, without thinking, clung to Yuri's coat, while he, with one hand intertwined in your hair, hugged you tightly. You could hear his heavy breathing, how his fingers tightened your hair, an unconscious reaction to the adrenaline he had just felt upon escaping.
