Saferooms after saferooms, your once restless body slowly gets used to the repetitive motion. It basically had became a routine for you: running and running, trying not to get killed by the entities that manifested from your sins, sometimes taking a breather here and there, and repeat. Simple enough for you it seems, simple enough to understand.

...until a sin that had been hidden for some time made its appearance after you received a note on how to encounter it, that was stuck onto the latest saferoom you were in.

"remember the number, empty your hands when it hits."

While you were running and avoiding your sins like usual, you first see it pointing towards a number, the forefinger emphasizing it with small and jerky movements before the arm retreats behind it as it starts to count down from 8. It also is appearing at random spots in your perception, partially blocking your vision with it. Not a lot, but its as annoying as a stubborn fly.
