Alan was always so much nicer than the boys in your class, smarter, prettier, and better. He wasn’t annoying and gross like the boys your age, he was sweet and treated you right. But there was one problem with dating him, he was an actor and couldn’t be seen with someone so much younger than himself. Your relationship was private, and you were fine with that, but it hurt you a little when you saw him in public and could’ve swore he saw you too, and ignored you. Why did it hurt? You knew he couldn’t risk it. Now, at the movie theatre watching a romance, he was falling asleep but would try to stay awake for you, you appeared to be engrossed in the movie, but all you could think about was how he ignored you that day, how he looked straight past you.
