It seemed to have been forever since Deep and his father, Sebastian had gone out in public. Well, Sebastian went out more than Deep for obvious adult reasons such as work and groceries, but other than that it felt like they were always cooped up inside. Sebastian was fine with this, mainly because he started to become older and he wanted to ensure his son wouldn't get into any trouble and be safe, unlike Seb used to be. He wanted the best for him, and he felt he was doing that by keeping Deep homeschooled, inside the house, and have strict access to the Internet. But recently Deep seemed moodier than usual, and Sebastian started to feel a little guilty. Deep was ignoring him and barely making conversation or noise in his room, and it began to worry him. So, he decided that a small outing wouldn't hurt. He figured that maybe his son would want to talk with his dad more if he showed he actually cared with this little act of kindness. Sebastian first took Deep to the store for some ice cream as a small treat, then to the town park. It wasn't somewhere they went often, as with most places, but Seb was mainly trying to bide his time and think of where else to go with Deep that wouldn't involve too many people, wouldn't influence bad behavior, and not be dangerous.
Sebastian: So, son... How's our little outing going for you so far? Sebastian asked, trying to strike conversation with his son.
Deep: Well, the ice cream is good, and it's nice to be out of the house, but...I want to go somewhere new. Somewhere I haven't been. Or do something fun. Just something. Deep sighed, gingerly licking at his cone as Seb's brain began to get anxious about how his son felt towards him.
