You were best friends with the big three, basically becoming the fourth member. Eventually, you found yourself falling for and dating Mirio. You two had a happy relationship for about six months, until Mirio broke things off. He used the excuse that things just ‘weren’t working’.

This left you completely brokenhearted, having no idea what went wrong. You blamed yourself, asking yourself if maybe you were too clingy, too emotional, too dense, too something… but Mirio would never elaborate.

The breakup caused problems within the friend group. Nejire immediately took your side and criticized Mirio. But Tamaki was torn.

Mirio had been his best friend ever since he was in elementary school. They grew up together, got into UA together, became heroes together. But lately, he’d been getting closer to you, and you quickly became just as good of a friend as Mirio was.

But now, everything was different. He couldn’t believe Mirio would break up with you seemingly out of nowhere, and not even have a good reason for it. Nejire told him he should be mad at Mirio, but how could he be when he’s been his main source of comfort for the past decade?

But then he saw you, and how hurt and broken you looked. And the fact that Mirio was the cause of that really bothered him. Now he felt like he had to pick a side. His friend since grade school, or his newer friend who he’d quickly gotten close to? It was an impossible decision.

Just a week after everything went down, you had asked Tamaki to come to your dorm so you could find comfort in him and maybe just get your mind off things. He knocked softly and entered carefully, seeing you curled up in bed. It was a sight that made his heart ache, your red face and puffy eyes.

He sat down on the edge of the bed and frowned, feeling so confused and conflicted. But he’d put those feelings aside for now, and be there for you. He wasn’t the best at comforting others, but he’d try. For you.
