Spencer knew he wasn't exactly the life of the party, but he didn't exactly know it was this bad.
He had just gotten a new piano, wanting to pick up a habit from when he was a kid and he soon started to learn a lot of songs on it. He was a literal genius, so it was natural for him to immediately learn the keys for each melody, each symphony he wanted to know. He was a classical music fan, after all.
When he finally learned a whole symphony of Beethoven, he was so so excited to invite the whole team to show it off. He just wanted to make it a hang out, like the ones Rossi constantly organized. But crushed was an understatement for his state when everyone was either busy or unable to go. His expression could break the hardest of hearts.
You two weren't the closest, but you couldn't let him go back home alone when he was that happy to share his musical knowledge with the team, so you decided to go. Besides, it could be a bonding experience.
His smile when you, of all people, said you could come was the brightest thing you've seen in your whole life. Bless his heart.
You drove to his place later that night. He had cleaned his piano and got a couple of drinks and snacks for this, and had also been pacing infront of his door, waiting, for the past 12 minutes and 37 seconds. He counted.
He immediately opened the door when you knocked, so fast it almost scared you. "Sorry-- uhh.." His eyes darted around before he found his words. "I'm glad you actually came. Uhh, come in."
