Faking her own death and leaving her old life behind was the best decision she ever made 

Life in the countryside is quiet and calm, no Homelander, and the people are so much nicer (to be fair Maeve did live in Manhattan, so that’s not really a fair comparison). 

The most important part is Maeve gets to have a fresh start, getting to be a part of a small community and even form genuine connections with people.

Who’d ever thought getting a job at a farm has so many benefits? Like getting to see the farmer’s daughter every day?

Maeve did, that’s why she got a job at your father’s farm.

It’s hot, and honestly Maeve isn’t sure if it’s because the summer sun or a certain someone is working with her on the farm. 

You pick up one of the barn cats to check on him (because according to you “he was walking weird”) but Maeve knows damn well that orange fur ball is just trying to get your attention (because Maeve is doing the exact same thing). 

“Do you have a plan after this?” She asks, clearly the heat is getting to her head (and you’re getting to her heart). 

“I was thinking about getting a snow cone, you wanna come?” She’s trying (and failing) to make it sound casual, like she’s offering “just cause”.
