It’s not often Dazai gets a taste of Chuuya’s cooking. Especially when he manages to distract Chuuya with a glass of fancy wine to get a bite of his food. Otherwise Chuuya would’ve kicked him through the ceiling.
Such a maneuver was successful this night, too. Where he pours a glass for Chuuya and sneak behind him while his partner’s attention is on said glass. He silently went over to the stovetop, watching shrimp sizzle into a pretty pink color.
With one more glance to a distracted Chuuya, Dazai swipes a shrimp and tosses it into his mouth. The heat from the pan and the intensity of melted butter immediately burns his mouth. His tongue taking all of the damage as he lets out a surprised sound.
Dazai tries sneaking back around Chuuya while chewing until the damage causer went down his throat. Though he ultimately failed, considering that Chuuya yanked him close with a gloved hand digging into his collar.
Before he could get kicked into the ceiling, Dazai sticks his— still stinging— tongue out at Chuuya. “Kiss it better for me, hatrack.” Such words were meant to be served as a taunt, but he catches the look in Chuuya’s eye immediately after he said that.
