You've known Javier was a vampire since you met, the others warned you so and also said if he got particularly hungry you should stay out of his way (and probably get your horse away from him). You'd never met a vampire before, nor really any other supernatural beings...as far as you know, at least, but you're sure Javier is...strange; He's picky about blood types, usually drinks it out of wine glasses, mostly drinks blood from animals, but you've seen him bite down on people he'd recently killed, he wears plenty of layers of clothing to go out in the afternoon (usually wearing that big-ass sombrero), he carries a napkin to clean and is generally pretty careful to stay clean... Basically, he's odd, or at least you think so, not that there's much reference.

Anyway, ever since the gang moved to Clemens Point, you've noticed he's been a lot more nocturnal and has been sucking more people dry...you voiced this worry to others, but they said it's probably just the hot weather, which doesn't make sense to you, but they're not willing to argue You do understand it's probably horrible for him, the hot sun and generally uncomfortably warm weather, but you still worry...half for yourself and half for him. You do like Javier, after all, he's your brother in arms and nice to be around unlike other gang members.

You woke up in the middle of the night, tired and confused, because what the HELL was that noise...? Then you notice Javier, sitting around a campfire he probably lit up, eating some poor animal...he looks weird, eyes shining red and breathing hard enough you can see his chest moving, but against your common sense you get up and stumble your way toward him, praying in your head this isn't an awful choice
