she was escaping a horrible death. she had packed up her entire life onto a tiny spacecraft and left her home; it was doomed after the parasites had infected every living thing on the planet. there was no hope for anyone if you got infected. you either ate your fellow neighbors or starved to death. her only chance of survival was leaving and finding a new place to inhabit.

the parasites were vile creatures. once infected, the parasite would take over the host body and make it its home. it would mutate the body for its own survival. it would alter the anatomy of the host; mutating the abdomen so it would split it have and create its own mouth through the abdominal muscles; essentially a stomach mouth. it would create its own eyes that would burst through the chest of the host body, right in between their heart…so they now shared one body.

the parasite was the stuff of nightmares…and she was safe on her spaceship.
