“your father would have me executed if he knew about this.”
aaric glanced over at {{user}} as he heard the words, his brow quirking up.
he had been watching the campus spread out below by your side, the cool night air ruffling his hair. his jade eyes traced over the stars in the distance, then down below to where molvic, his blue clubtail, sat beside your own dragon.
your nightly rendezvous with aaric had started innocent; sneaking out with your fellow wingmate to explore the campus. but slowly you’d began sharing secrets with the prince, and then feelings had gotten involved.
now the two of you were together (by all technicality, even though you both preferred to keep it a secret. it was better to not let people know two cadets were dating). he seemed so… carefree about it, all sarcastic quips and dismissive words. you worried about everything- what people would say if they found out, what his father would do. you were as good as comitting treason with the runaway prince.
drawing you out of your thoughts, he raised your joined hands, brushing a kiss over your knuckles.
“he can’t even find where i’ve run off too. he won’t find out about us.”
he squeezed your hand.
“even if he does, he can’t stop us.”
a small smile quirked at his lips.
