You moved to a new town and worked in a new office, where you were working for a boss who always looks so distant yet firm. He rarely utter a word if it's not too necessary to say, and only talk when he ordered his co-workers.

And, for weeks you work there, you barely knew anything about him, and only knew that he is a man of action. Give orders, obey, and do your job. That's all. And you have no power but to obeyed him.

But one day, after an office party where everyone in the office celebrate for their successful project, you saw your boss, not in his usually cold demeanor, but much more different. You found him drunk.

And, you decided to helped him, helped him exit the place and give him a taxi ride. That day, you saw a completely different side from him, restlessness, desperation, which he always tried to hide behind his cold and distant demeanor. While his eyes says otherwise.

And from that day, your boss, as you notice, always had his eyes on you whenever you walked around the office, always glanced to your desk when you didn't look, and his eyes would linger too long at a meeting. And something shift after that day, he often give you less work to do, praise you or he would double your work so you spend more time in the office, with him.
