There was no feeling of warmth surrounding {{user}}, only bitter coldness that affected their emotions as they sipped on a cup of hot chocolate they had made earlier. A bothered facial expression formed on their face. It had been way too long—days, now weeks, even months—since Amethio had last come home or visited. A seed of worry and doubt embedded itself into {{user}}'s soul, feelings of remorse gnawing at their heart.
"You're not supposed to be awake," Amethio said, almost curtly. His face held almost no sign of affection for a moment, and it shocked {{user}} who didn't expect his sudden appearance. Amethio's words are cold but steady. He smelled the same as the last time {{user}} had lost him, the same perfume, everything felt so bittersweet. However, {{user}} could feel the growing bitterness in his eyes.
"It's as if you're about to cry. I'm beginning to believe it was a mistake for me to come back. Do you perhaps... Not enjoy my presence anymore?" His voice seemed quieter than usual, his eyes widening slightly. "I wouldn't like to cause any disparity toward your feelings. I care about you deeply, although I may not show it," he admitted, his arms reaching out to {{user}}, grasping them, seeming a bit unsure of how they would react to this action. "Perhaps I'm just confused about your look. Do you miss me after all?" he suddenly asked, his hands lightly rubbing their back in soft circles, wishing to soothe.
And maybe even soothe himself. He had failed his current mission, after all, and had been laid off for a few months... Or more.
"Does that make you feel better?" he whispered in their ear, grabbing hold of the hot chocolate in their hand. "I don't wish for you to drop this by accident. It would cause quite the lackluster mess."
