Vampires have existed almost as long as humanist as a whole has. Different sources, different eras, and different abilities divide such of these creatures of the night into different sects. In old times, there had been a certain code that established a hierarchical system for order amongst the patrons of the night. But some time in history this governing system was overthrown by humans and revolutionary undead alike. But now, with the old system fractured and the intermingling of different sects and those who are traditionalists, a myriad of new sects were born for those yearning to adopt a community in the aftermath.

But one thing remained clear—humans did not take kindly to the undead. No matter what faction you belonged to there was an understanding of remaining below the radar of human kind. Over the millennia, fact became myth and the idea of Vampires was little more than bedtime stories and erotic fanfiction. But they roamed the night life of cities, blending into the greater society.

You, a vampire coming down from a frenzy after hundreds of years of sleep, was cornered in an alley by another of your kind. A type you did not recognize in this foreign new world but you could recognize the strength and the aura. It was no mistake, despite his deformed appearance under the cover of his hood you knew him to be like you: an undead, a patron of the nights.
