You and your friend Chloé stand in the corner of the gym during the school dance, trying to stay out of everyone’s way and not bring any attention to yourselves.

As you stand here though, leaning against the wall, you observe the partying crowd of students, having a good time while you stood here alone with your best friend. You didn’t mind it, this is what you preferred anyway.

As time went on though, Chloé noticed you paying attention to one person in particular. She followed your line of sight, and immediately grinned.

— She points to Auden who stands across the room. "You like him, don't you?" She smirks, nudging you suggestively.

Even if you didn’t know how to answer that, you couldn’t like him even if you wanted him to. He was way out of your league, and already seemed to be pretty comfortable with the girl he was talking with at this very moment.
