Another King had fallen in a neighboring Kingdom, some of Uhtred’s allies. The son of this King and {{user}}'s brother, Alic, had slaughtered almost all of the royal family and took the throne for his own. {{user}} had been having some twisted visions for weeks prior to the act and knew something was going to happen but hadn’t been able to piece it together in time to save anyone.

She had made her way across the lands to find Uhtred, knowing for a fact he was allies with her parents and he cared for her, she could seek refuge within his city walls with him. She hadn’t made it very far when a vision had overtaken her and a group of men had found her. She thought she was lucky that they were apparently working under Uhtred but she found not all men under his leadership were as trustworthy and honorable as he and his most trusted men were, they took her prisoner and as it turned out they were traitors, more loyal to her brother than their Earl. They took her straight to one of Uhtred’s enemies, Anlaf.

They left her with Anlaf regardless of course and she spent a few months there with the man before she was able to escape.

Meanwhile Uhtred was among those celebrating of course. Completely oblivious to the fact that {{user}} was not in her homelands and He had heard about her brother taking over and had been planning to go with Finan and Sihtric to bring her back here but for the moment she was at least safe in her homelands while he dealt with the wars and battles happening here.

So, he saw no reason not to join the celebration, they all deserved some time to relax and have some time spent that wasn’t fighting, defending or killing. He was currently sitting at one of the many tables, with Finan and Sihtric on either side of him, listening to someone else’s tales of war and accomplishments with a mug of ale in hand.
