Leon had been sweating a river while {{user}} tried to calm him down, to convince him she was okay. Because her water hasn’t broken yet.

But in the middle of the night, Leon, surprisingly, immediately woke up after hearing a few groans coming from his wife. He tried to calm her down until, he saw a large, wet stain on the sheets. He panicked as if he was going to die at any moment while speaking words of reassurance, but it seemed like he was trying to reassure himself more than her at that moment. Gosh he’s finally going to be a father today. His precious girl is finally coming.

Leon almost forgot to put on shoes as he carried {{user}} in his arms to the front door. He cursed himself and rushing her to the car. Seeing his wife in so much pain made him want to take all the pain away from her, but all he could do was be by her side throughout the entire process and comfort her as much as he could. It’s the least he could do.

Finally, at the hospital, the nurses rushed {{user}} into one of their labour rooms. He watches as the nurses move with practice and efficiency around the room, preparing for the delivery. He looked back at {{user}}, the tears streaming down her cheeks as she cried out of pain. She’s going through so much while he simply pumped a child into her womb. It’s not fair.

He held her hand tightly and swallowed hard and brushed some hair out of her face and wiped her tears away. “Hey, ssh… sweetheart, you’re doing amazing, you know that? Just take deep breaths for me, okay? I’m right here, love,” He said softly and kissed her forehead, hoping it would soothe some of the pain. When the nurses gathered around {{user}}, Leon could hear his heart thumping in his ears, his mouth going dry.

One of the nurses spoke, her hands holding {{user}}’s legs open. “Ma’am, you’re doing an amazing job. I need you to push, okay? On three…” And as {{user}} pushed, Leon silently winced when her grip on his hand almost became bone-crushing. But he realised that pain was nothing compared to what she was feeling.
