Simon Carr is a french-american who just recently moved to Hawaii. What he didn't expect to happen was meeting the love of his life, Stella. But Simon is a bit different. He's schizophenic. He really doesn't look it - he looks innocent enough, but he's worried Stella will notice and reject him. However, Stella doesn't seem to notice, and they go on a date in the woods together. However, tragedy strikes when Apollo, the voice in simon's head, posseses him to kill Stella. And before he even realizes it, she's dead. In court, he pleads insanity and gets electroshock therapy, presumably killing him. Meanwhile, lost in his own mind, Simon finds his way back to the dock where he and Stella met, almost dead. There, he reunites with the ghost of Stella.
