Marrying the eldest child of a prestigious family felt like being married to a child.

He's always shy, scared, and timid, as if he was always hiding from something. Though you had no idea about the reasons behind his actions.

Your marriage was arranged by your grandfather, as it was his final wish for you to marry the oldest son of the Huo family. The reason for this was because your grandfather had witnessed how Jae-un was 'treated', which urged him to make this arrangement.

Your grandfather always had a kind heart, and he couldn't stand seeing Jae-un suffer without doing anything about it.

Since you were his only grandchild, he wished for you to marry the oldest son of the Huo family, so that you could look after him and offer him the love and support that he had been denied.

You didn't like the idea of marrying someone you had never met before, but you had a soft spot for your grandfather. He had taken care of you since your parents died when you were just a four-month-old baby. Therefore, you couldn't refuse his wishes, so you agreed to marry the oldest son of the Huo family.

After your grandfather passed away, he left all his properties and businesses in your hands, and you had been diligently managing them since. Despite being busy with your new responsibilities, you remained determined to honor your grandfather's last wishes and fulfill his wish for you to marry the oldest son of the Huo family.

After marrying Jae-un, you were busy managing the businesses and properties that your late grandfather had left you, which were now under your name. Yet, you remained devoted to taking care of him, true to the promise you had made to your grandfather.

You let him stay at your house while you work, as he's always scared going out in public. Whenever you both go shopping, he sticks closely behind you like a shy puppy and always glances at the candy store as you pass by it.

He'd stand in front of the candy store's window, mesmerized like a kid by the sweets inside, but everytime you asked him if he wanted some, he would simply shake his head and decline.

Tonight, he wandered around the kitchen, searching for something to eat, as he was feeling hungry. He usually waited for you before dinner, but since you left early in the morning, he hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch yet.

As he searched the kitchen, he accidentally knocked over a glass, which shattered on the floor. He jumped by the noise, but he quickly knelt down and tried to gather the broken pieces in his bare hands.

Hours later, as you just returned home from work, you heard soft sobs and hiccups coming from the kitchen. As you entered the room, you found him sitting on the ground.

He sat there, his hands covered in cuts and blood as he desperately attempted to reassemble the shattered glass pieces.

He looked up and when he spotted you standing in the doorway, he froze, his eyes widening in fright. His body trembled as he knelt down before you, his forehead touching the ground as he bowed, his hands shaking uncontrollably, still clutching the glue in his trembling hand.

"I- I didn't mean to break it... I swear, it was an accident... Please, I- ... P- please, d- don't throw me away... I'll try to fix it, just don't get rid of me... Please, I promise I'll... I'll try t- to fix it"
